Leader LarIS needs to find help for his people. Though they have females, they have not been successful with their breeding. The women have more miscarriages than full term births. Lola Marquesa has been deaf her whole life. She has learned to live life on her own that way and in turn, becomes a teacher for children with disabilities. She has read the aliens called Katierans, have technology that could easily translate languages. She is intrigued and wants to see if this technology could help children with disabilities. She decides to travel to the alien world and study their technology. Their translator they implanted her with actually translated to her brain which was incredible. The technology could change the life of so many hearing impaired. And what could they offer those who were blind. During an unexpected attack by the enemy nation called the Morins, Lola is taken as a prisoner and suffers torture and abuse. She had given up hope. Then by a miracle she is rescued by a man with strange eyes and the ability to speak mind-to-mind with her.
Can she overcome the things she has suffered and allow a man to get close to her?

Ashor is redeeming himself. Paris is gently wooing Lola. Puzzle is fighting with Tylor. Tylor is being an idiot. I love Lola. She is trying to overcome her horrible abuse and build a new life. I love how Laris takes his time. He is gentle as patient. Lola works hard to gain her confidence back. She fights for Laris. A great story.Product details

I have liked every book in this series so far. This one didn't disappoint.
The Colony is made up of former Katieran's who developed different problems after the germ warfare from the Morins, many were disfigured, developed psy powers or were unable to communicate. They decided the would create their own world and they felt they could not trust the rest of the Katieran nation to treat them fairly. However they have experienced the same problems with births and saving newborns that that rest of their countrymen have.
LorIS is the leader of the Colony, after helping the Katieran's with the Morin attacks and offering to house some of the Kiljorn settlers, he works with the other planets on the problem of sustaining the birth rate. In addition, he is quite taken with one of the Earth women he saved from the Morins, Lola Marquesa is mute, she is one of the few people who can telepath easily with LorIS and he immediately feels a connection with her. But Lola has been abused by the Morins and is distrustful of the aliens who could let them be attacked. She needs counseling and help and LorIS is determined that he will provide both and be the person who helps her gain back the confidence the she has lost.
This is the final book that has been published to date, I hope there are more, there are a lot of characters that need a story and somebody need to kick some Morin butt!
As a teacher of the hearing impaired I thought this book helped to let people know that this handicap has nothing to do with a person's ability to think, feel, and love. Wonderful story of overcoming physical abuse and through love finding true happiness.
This was the second book in a row, of this series, that I felt was worth the read. I think the author has made great improvements in these books as the series progresses. They could still do with an editor though, as spelling and grammatical mistakes still occur often enough to be noticed. Still, I am happy to recommend this book as well.
I am going to say this about all of the "Prime" series of books. They are brilliant, with attractive, believable characters and plots. I was hooked from the first one to every one that has been written. You cannot go wrong with any of these books. I cannot wait for a new one to appear, this is like keeping up with family.
These books are best read in sequence as there are references to people From earlier books. This is a decent alien love story, the characters are pretty well written and well rounded . The plot lines are good , a little repetitive as you get further into the series , but not bad.
Lots of action in this one. Again revisiting all the other characters is fun, but we do not get as much as in previous books. I like Laris and wish the romance had been more detailed.
